Job Description

Drupal Platform Assessment
Evaluate current Drupal environments, including core version alignment, module dependencies, and upgrade posture
Identify gaps related to security, scalability, and maintainability, including outdated components and patch requirements [DRUPAL Mai...cope (003) | Word]
Provide recommendations on Drupal architecture modernization (e.g., Drupal 9/10 readiness, hosting, and content structuring)
eLearning & SCORM Readiness
Assess feasibility of integrating SCORM-compliant learning content within existing Drupal-based platforms or adjacent LMS systems
Advise on SCORM packaging, delivery mechanisms, and LMS interoperability considerations (SCORM as standard for LMS integration is widely used across learning platforms) [Elearning...in Can API | Viva Learning]
Recommend architecture patterns for content distribution, tracking, and analytics alignment
Accessibility & Compliance Advisory
Evaluate current web and learning platforms for WCAG and ADA compliance risks, particularly for public-sector and higher education requirements
Provide guidance on accessible course delivery, document remediation, and inclusive design principles
Align recommendations with digital accessibility standards in online learning environments [Designing...e Learning | Viva Learning]
Stakeholder Advisory & Strategy
Serve as a trusted advisor to technical and non-technical stakeholders across IT, academic technology, and leadership teams
Facilitate working sessions to define future-state architecture and eLearning roadmap
Deliver clear documentation, executive summaries, and actionable recommendations

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience with Drupal (7/8/9/10) in enterprise or large-scale environments
Proven experience advising on or implementing Drupal migrations and upgrades
Strong understanding of eLearning ecosystems, including LMS platforms and content delivery models
Experience working with SCORM or similar learning standards (e.g., xAPI/Tin Can)
Knowledge of WCAG / ADA accessibility standards, especially in public sector or higher education environments
Demonstrated ability to operate in a consultative/advisory capacity (not strictly hands-on development)
