Insight Global is partnering with a large local utility as they grow their Electric Engineering organization to support the surge in electricity demand, driven by AI-focused data centers, rapid electric vehicle (EV) adoption, and massive grid modernization efforts.
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Electric Transmission where this leader will oversee electrical engineering teams responsible for transmission line infrastructure across a large territory. The ideal candidate has a hands on background in electrical engineering with strong utility experience who thrives in leading people, challenging legacy processes, and driving execution. This role requires a confident, direct communicator who can operate in front of senior leadership, influence stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast paced, operational environment.
Day to Day:
• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers supporting T Line South
• Oversee execution of transmission and utility infrastructure projects
• Ensure electrical designs and solutions meet safety, reliability, and regulatory standards
• Challenge existing processes to drive efficiency and modernization
• Act as a strong technical and people leader; hands on when needed
• Communicate clearly and confidently with senior leadership, including VPs
• Partner cross functionally to align engineering, construction, and operations
• Respond to emergency events impacting transmission systems as required

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong background in the utility industry or utility industry adjacent
• Experience with transmission lines (T Line) and large scale infrastructure
• Solid understanding of electrical components and systems
• Proven people management experience leading teams of engineers
• Confident, direct communicator; comfortable presenting to and engaging with VP level leadership
• Strong understanding of how utility projects are executed end to end
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies, including weekends if needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Advanced degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams
• Familiarity working in regulated utility environments
