Job Description
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a highly execution focused PK/PD Modeling Scientist to support accelerating workload within the Translational PK/PD organization. This contractor will work under a project lead and co lead to rapidly execute modeling and data extraction tasks across multiple programs. The role is hands on and delivery driven, with minimal strategy development and heavy emphasis on independently completing assigned work.
Strong performers may be considered for longer term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
PK/PD Modeling and Analysis
• Support translational PK and PK/PD modeling activities for nonclinical and clinical programs.
• Build and execute empirical PK and simple PK/PD models, including one and two compartment models.
• Identify and interpret PK profiles across species, including large molecules such as antibodies and ADCs.
• Perform simulations to support exposure characterization, dose justification, and exposure–response understanding.
• Support translation from in vitro to in vivo and across species where applicable.
Literature Review and Data Digitization
• Extract PK, clinical PK, and in vitro assay data from published literature.
• Digitize figures and datasets and uniquely identify model components.
• Review existing literature models, assess what is working and what is not, and summarize findings concisely.
• Develop mechanistic or semi mechanistic model inputs based on literature derived data.
In Vitro and Mechanistic Modeling Support
• Support modeling of in vitro assays with translational relevance.
• Apply ODE based modeling approaches to describe mechanistic behavior.
• Support platform efforts aimed at reducing or eliminating animal usage when appropriate.
Collaboration and Execution
• Work under the direction of a lead and co lead, with weekly check ins to review progress and deliverables.
• Execute assigned tasks independently with minimal oversight and tight timelines.
• Prepare figures, tables, and summaries for internal reports and slide decks.
• Clearly communicate progress, challenges, and results to project stakeholders.
Deliverables and Milestones
• Digitized literature datasets and curated PK and in vitro data.
• Executed PK and PK/PD models with documented assumptions.
• Summary outputs that identify PK profiles and key translational insights.
• Supporting analyses that can be incorporated into internal decision making and reports.
