Job Description
Insight Global's client is a consulting and environmental services firm that specializes in solid waste and landfill operations. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians looking to gain practical experience across operational and regulatory environments within environmental compliance projects. Technicians play a direct role in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting landfill gas and liquids systems while working outdoors in active project sites. Role involves travel to different worksites.
Responsibilities:
-Operate, inspect, and maintain Gas --Collection & Control Systems (GCCS)
-Monitor landfill gas (LFG), liquids, and extraction systems
-Collect and document environmental compliance data
-Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system issues
-Respond to system alarms and call-outs
-Work outdoors at varying project sites

Required Skills & Experience
-High School Diploma + 1 year general work experience
-Valid driver’s license; ability to travel daily to sites (across SoCal)
-Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather and uneven terrain
-Able to lift up to 50 lbs (intermittent)
-Pass physical and drug screening
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-A.S./B.S. in Environmental Science or related field
-Experience with environmental monitoring equipment (FID, PID, gas detectors, pH/conductivity meters)
-Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
-Landfill gas or fluids system experience
-OSHA HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)
