Job Description
The Freight Billing Coordinator is responsible for managing carrier payables and customer billing for freight shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal processes. This role will leverage Trinium ERP to process invoices, reconcile freight charges, resolve discrepancies, and support month‑end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and experienced in freight billing within a transportation or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process carrier payables in Trinium, ensuring invoices are accurate, approved, and paid on time
Generate and manage customer freight billing in Trinium, including accessorials, adjustments, and re-bills as needed
Audit freight invoices against contracts, rate confirmations, and shipment data
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with carriers, customers, and internal teams
Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and compliance
Support month‑end close by reconciling freight-related accounts and reporting variances
Collaborate with operations, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy
Monitor billing timelines and proactively address issues that could delay payment or invoicing
Assist with continuous process improvements related to billing and payables workflows

Required Skills & Experience
-Trinium experience- specifically billing/invoicing (1+ year total)
-Needs to understand billing & AP (both sides of it)
-Someone who has had any type of leadership
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Microsoft Dynamics (GP)- experience with purchasing
-Billing for employee drivers with their own trucks & 3PL (More industry the better)
