Job Description

This role focuses on advanced pipe stress and hydraulic analysis for data center infrastructure systems, with an emphasis on chilled water and related piping networks. The engineer will evaluate piping loops for pressure and thermal stresses, as well as structural impacts from seismic events, wind, dead loads, and live loads. They will analyze designs to validate system resilience under extreme conditions, ensuring piping systems maintain integrity during events such as earthquakes. The role supports design-phase analysis for new infrastructure systems rather than operational troubleshooting, working closely with internal design teams to address a documented gap in pipe stress expertise.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Required Skills & Experience

• Experience performing pipe stress analysis for fluid piping systems
• Hands-on experience evaluating pressure, thermal, and structural stresses in piping
• Experience with seismic and load-based design considerations
• Background in industries with complex piping systems (e.g., oil & gas, nuclear, industrial plants, or large commercial infrastructure)
• Experience supporting design-phase engineering rather than operations
• Ability to assess whether piping systems can withstand extreme events without failure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with chilled water or data center infrastructure systems
• Exposure to nuclear reactor or high-risk piping environments
• Familiarity with internal or client pipe stress design guidelines
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects with limited existing analytical coverage

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
