Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Design Manager to join one of our top Data Center clients. The work authorization is not specified and the salary is between $160,000-$170,000. The Design Manager will support the presales phase of data center development by leading and coordinating conceptual design efforts prior to lease execution. This role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and focused on managing the design process, identifying technical risks, and ensuring design deliverables align with client and engineering expectations. The position does not make final design decisions but plays a critical role in guiding the design lifecycle and supporting informed decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in data center design or design consulting.
Understanding of the relationships between the primary mechanical, electrical and ICT elements of the build
Data center background (operator, owner, or design consultant).
Experience working in a design consultant or data center environment.
Strong understanding of Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
General understanding of mechanical design, preferably in a lead or coordinating role.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary design teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in mechanical engineering with strong technical knowledge.
CFD / transient studies (strong plus)
CNT or similar data center design concepts-
Prior design lead or team leadership experience
