Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a leading client in Santa Clara to provide critical local support to the network infrastructure. The role requires 3+ years of FortiGate firewall experience, 4+ years with Cisco/Dell switching technologies, and hands-on expertise with both VMware and Proxmox virtualization platforms. You'll lead network troubleshooting efforts, support a major data center redesign project starting in April 2026, and travel to Austin for 1-2 week project deployments as needed. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of mid to senior level network engineering experience and be available to start immediately, and will not require training to begin.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Physical, hands on experience installing network equipment in data centers (racking, stacking, cable management)
- Experience with FortiGate firewalls
- Expertise with Cisco switching (or Dell)
- Basic Linux systems knowledge
- Experience with VMware and Proxmox
- Experience with Monitoring tools such as: Grafana dashboards, Zabbix, alerting systems
Automation Experience with Ansible, Terraform, infrastructure as code
