Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s overall fiscal health. This role manages general ledger activities, bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll review, financial reporting, and audit preparation. The Staff Accountant partners closely with internal teams to support budgeting, reporting, and compliance while ensuring adherence to accepted accounting practices in a fast‑paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with general ledger management,
reconciliations, and journal entries
- Strong financial reporting and analysis experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention
to detail

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Nonprofit or public-sector accounting experience
- Experience supporting payroll review or audit preparation
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple
departments
