Insight Global is seeking a talented Android Software Engineer to join our Consumer Financial Services team, specifically working on the Debit Card Platform. You'll be part of a dynamic team building the next generation of PayPal's mobile payment experiences, including the PayPal One Card and our modern Oslo platform architecture. Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of Android development experience (Java and/or Kotlin)
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Kotlin 1.8+).
- Deep understanding of Android SDK (Android 10+ / API 29+)
- Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern declarative UI development
- Android app architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, MVP, or Clean Architecture)
- RESTful API integration and async networking (Retrofit, OkHttp, Kotlin Coroutines)
- Android Studio proficiency including debugging tools and Profiler
- Memory management and performance optimization
- Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Gradle build system and build optimization
- Unit and Functional Test
- Dependency Injection – Hilt & Dager
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- GraphQL
- Experience with Kotlin Flows for reactive programming
- Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and structured concurrency
- Navigation Component for fragment navigation
- Android Security best practices (Keystore, encrypted SharedPreferences, biometric authentication)
- Experience with accessibility (TalkBack, content descriptions, etc.)
- Performance profiling with Android Profiler (CPU, Memory, Network, Energy)
