Job Description
As the Marketing Event Specialist, you will conduct the below:
-Lead and/or support the planning and execution of internal and external customer events, including conferences (i.e., Annual Conference), webinars and users group meetings.
-Develop and execute marketing communications strategies and supporting project plans in a manner consistent with corporate positioning and goals
-Research, write copy and edit both print and electronic communications for internal teams (e.g. sales, existing accounts, clinical) and external stakeholders (e.g. prospects, clients, members, pharmacy providers, prescribers, consultants). Including, but not limited to presentations, supplemental materials, campaigns, press releases, newsletters, white papers and industry journal articles.
-Coordinate work of outside vendors and consultants retained to execute projects (e.g., meeting planner, outside agency, freelance writer).
-Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
-Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
-Provide post-event reports, analysis and regular status reports on marketing programs.
-Assist in the execution of promotional activities, including print, electronic media, benefit fairs, trade show, direct mail and signage.
-Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
-Manage the development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) required in journalism, communications, marketing or related field of study
-2+ years of related experience within marketing, events, journalism, etc
-2+ years of experience leading or supporting the planning and execution of internal and external customer events,
-1+ year of experience with researching, writing copy and editing both print and electronic communications for internal teams.
-Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
-Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
-Experience developing project plans, coordinating projects and completing projects on time and within budget.
-Strong communication skills to be able to: respond promptly to client needs; solicit client feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; meet commitments to clients; and manage difficult or emotional client situations.
-Have the capability to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
