Job Description
Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Android Developer to support next‑generation automotive platforms, with a focus on Android-based systems used in vehicle experiences. This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable working close to hardware, understands modern Android architecture, and can build applications from the ground up. Automotive experience (camera systems, media, infotainment) is preferred but not required. Strong Android fundamentals, architecture knowledge, and hands‑on coding ability are critical.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of Android development experience (ideal, not a hard requirement)
Strong expertise in Android SDK and application lifecycle
Proficiency in Kotlin
Hands‑on experience with:
MVVM or Clean Architecture
Jetpack Compose
Hilt for dependency injection
Solid understanding of Android app structure, state management, and performance
Ability to build applications from scratch without heavy scaffolding
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in automotive Android, infotainment, or embedded systems
Background in camera systems, media playback, or real‑time data applications
Familiarity working close to hardware, including HAL‑level interactions
Experience in large‑scale or enterprise Android environments
