Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Cable Protection and Damage Claims Program Consultant to design, standardize, and mature our enterprise‑wide cable protection and damage recovery programs. This role will focus on reducing fiber cuts caused by excavation activities, improving damage prevention, and building scalable claims and damage recovery processes across our ISP/telecommunications footprint.
This consultant will act as a strategic architect and advisor, guiding program development from inception through operational readiness. The role will not perform day‑to‑day administration, claims handling, or assume liability. Success will be measured by the strength, clarity, and effectiveness of the processes, governance, and tools delivered.

Required Skills & Experience
Core Responsibilities
-Cable Protection & Damage Prevention Program
-Design enterprise‑level Cable Protection Programs for fiber optic and telecom OSP infrastructure
-Define best practices for damage prevention, including:
Excavation awareness
Locator coordination
Contractor and municipal engagement
Pre‑construction risk mitigation
Develop standardized workflows for OSP location builds and protection measures
Create governance models and operating standards for long‑term program sustainability
-Damage Claims & Recovery Process Design
Architect a comprehensive damage claims process, from incident identification through recovery
Identify gaps in the current claims workflow and define future‑state processes
Establish clear intake, documentation, escalation, and resolution standards
Define KPIs and reporting structures to track claim success and recovery rates
-Vendor & Partner Integration
Design workflows for working with PRG (or similar vendors) for damage claim filing and tracking
Define roles, responsibilities, and handoffs between internal teams and external vendors
Establish service expectations, data requirements, and performance metrics
