Job Description

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technician with deep hands‑on experience servicing Tetra Pak thermal pasteurization and aseptic filling systems in a high‑volume beverage manufacturing environment.
This is not a general maintenance role. This position owns the end‑to‑end operation, diagnostics, and full servicing of Tetra Pak beverage processing equipment — from pasteurization through sterile filling. The ideal candidate can diagnose, repair, and replace internal components, work confidently with automation systems, and ensure strict food safety compliance.
This role supports multiple beverage brands and works closely with Production, Maintenance, QA, and Automation teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Fully service Tetra Pak thermal pasteurization systems (plate/tubular, steam‑based, VTIS)
• Maintain and troubleshoot aseptic processing systems, including sterile boundaries and hold tubes
• Diagnose and repair:
○ Heat exchangers
○ Pumps and valves
○ Homogenizers
○ Aseptic tanks (Alsafe)
• Execute and validate CIP/SIP cycles
• Perform sterilization cycles and verify proper thermal processing parameters
• Identify and resolve issues related to pressure, temperature, and flow
• Work with automation systems:
○ Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell / Siemens PLCs
○ RSLogix / ladder logic troubleshooting and minor code modifications
• Support food safety and regulatory compliance (FDA, HACCP, PMO)
• Respond to equipment failures during production and on‑call rotations
• Document maintenance work and continuous improvement opportunities

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands‑on, end‑to‑end experience servicing Tetra Pak equipment only (diagnosis → repair → part replacement → validation)
• 3–5+ years fully servicing Tetra Pak beverage processing machines
• Direct experience on some or all of the following Tetra Pak equipment:
○ A3 Speed (0100, 0300, 0400, 0500) – Pull Tab & Helicap
○ A3 Flex (0400)
○ TBA‑22 (0400, 0500)
○ TSA‑21 / 22 / 30
○ TCAP‑30 (Recap & Helicap)
○ TCBP‑22 / 30 / 32 | TCBP‑70 / 71
○ TFW‑40 / 66 / 67 / 68
○ HELIX‑21 / 22 / 30
• Ownership of automation on Tetra Pak machines, including:
○ PLC troubleshooting & diagnostics
○ HMI interaction
○ Electrical & instrumentation troubleshooting
○ Minor PLC code changes
PLC platforms: Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell
• Strong knowledge of thermal processing, HTST, aseptic controls, sterilization, and product safety
• Hands‑on experience with Tetra Pak VTIS, homogenizers, and Alsafe aseptic tanks
• Experience with CIP/SIP, heat exchangers, sterilization cycles, and aseptic processing
• Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and OEM documentation
• Strong mechanical skills (pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid systems)
• Experience in FDA‑regulated food or beverage manufacturing
• English fluency (read, write, speak)
• Willingness to be on‑call and work overtime
• No degree required — hands‑on Tetra Pak experience is the qualifier
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand/walk for extended periods
• Work in cold (≤34°F), wet, humid, and noisy environments
Exposure to chemicals and moving equipment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PREFERRED / NICE‑TO‑HAVE
• Advanced PLC troubleshooting or programming
• Beverage manufacturing background (juice, dairy, kombucha, protein drinks)
• CIP optimization or predictive maintenance experience
Experience with production volumes: 1000s, 500s, 250B, 200s, 125s
