Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Program Manager for a top utility client supporting large‑scale electric transmission initiatives. This individual will provide strategic leadership across complex, cross‑functional programs focused on grid reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep program management expertise, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive measurable outcomes in a highly regulated, fast‑moving environment. This role partners closely with engineering, regulatory, finance, and external vendors to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with long‑term business goals.
Day to Day
Manage major, cross‑functional programs supporting Electric Transmission Engineering
Lead program planning, execution, and operational oversight to ensure performance against goals
Develop, track, and report program metrics, budgets, and forecasts
Partner with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to drive program success
Coach and mentor less experienced team members
Identify stakeholders and lead communication across business units
Analyze program and engineering workflows to recommend process improvements
Support regulatory filings, data requests, and compliance initiatives
Lead cross‑utility project teams influencing utility, regulatory, and industry decisions
Contribute to standardization of program management tools, templates, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
10+ years of program or project management experience
Experience managing large, cross‑functional programs or initiatives
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to solve complex problems and anticipate program risks
Experience developing program goals, KPIs, and performance metrics
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, matrixed environments
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Master’s degree
PMP certification
Experience supporting electric transmission engineering, construction, or maintenance programs
Utility industry experience
Working knowledge of capital and expense program financial management
SAP experience for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Experience with regulatory compliance and working with regulators
Familiarity with portfolio management and governance processes
Experience developing executive‑level reporting and management dashboards
