Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a secret cleared Engineering Technician to join a fully onsite team in San Diego, CA. The Engineering Technician's role provides advanced technical and engineering support for the development, integration, testing, maintenance, and sustainment of METOC systems. This position involves working as part of a small team and frequently interacting with the engineering staff and end users. The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated individual that is willing to learn. This person will be required to travel domestically and internationally about once per quarter.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Secret Clearance
- Security+ CE or equivalent
- Experience delivering technical and engineering support for the full lifecycle including design, integration, testing, and maintenance
- Knowledge and experience working on the system installations, maintenance, and support on a shipboard environment
- Background in networking, troubleshooting, scanning and patching
- Hands on experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (2–4 trips per year).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in small, collaborative technical teams.
-Ability to plan and manage tasks independently while following general engineering guidance.
