Job Description

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in this role, you will be the technical engine behind the multiple phases of mechanical (chiller/cooling) programs, specifically focusing on the modular components of hyperscale cooling plants. Your day-to-day involves a deep dive into technical execution: you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of design reviews, submittals, and RFIs. You are responsible for ensuring "upstream product excellence" by coordinating engineering changes through CCBs, EBS, and Engineering Bulletins (EBs) to keep the global product line consistent. A significant portion of your time will be spent in technical meetings scheduling, chairing, and documenting action items to ensure the engineering teams stay in lockstep. You will also handle the critical task of documentation closeout, ensuring all project metadata and indexing are accurate within systems like AODocs and DCIP. By managing these complex, contract and design coordination tasks, you enable senior engineers to focus on high-level strategy.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

• Process Management: Proven experience with submittal review, RFI management, and technical change control.
• Proficiency in managing complex project archives, version control, and metadata indexing.
• A collaborative "no-ego" personality; must be able to drive results and escalate risks

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Data Center Industry: Specific experience with hyperscale cooling infrastructure (chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers).
• Project Tools: Familiarity with Buganizer for issue tracking or PLC (Product Lifecycle) checklist management.

• Simulation Awareness: Exposure to ANSYS or other fluid dynamics tools.
