Job Description

This person's primary responsibility is traveling around the designated territory (Southern California) to meet with clients and represent McWane Ductile Pipe products. This includes maintaining relationships with distributors, helping sell products, and promoting the complete product line to engineers. This position may include participating in industry trade associations, understanding competition, delivering presentations, reading and interpreting site drawings, and collecting project information.

Most of their time will be spent maintaining relationships. They will be performing Territory Manager duties. Around 40% of their time will be spent with distributors discussing pricing and orders and about 60% of the time will be more on the technical side giving presentations with engineering firms, contractors, cities, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

-3-5 years of sales experience (construction or industrial)
-Proven ability in sales, retaining clients, developing new business
-Strong communication skills, verbal and written
-Proficiency in Microsoft suite and database

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Technical background
-Engineering experience
-Involvement outside of classes and work: AWW, young professional networks, college groups
-Experience being on a team( Sports, military, drama, debate, etc)
-Bachelors Degree (preferred civil/mechanical/industrial engineering or construction management)
