Evolver is hiring a senior controllership leader from non‑financial‑services industries to help embed real‑world finance judgment into its product. This role brings lived experience from complex, high‑scrutiny operating environments into the design of finance workflows, controls, and evidence, ensuring the platform reflects how finance actually operates under audit pressure.
-Serve as the controllership authority for non‑financial‑services industries.
-Translate close, reporting, and SOX/ICFR processes into product requirements and workflows.
-Partner with product and engineering to design defensible, audit‑ready logic.
-Support design‑partner and implementation conversations with senior finance leaders.
-Help define evidence standards, review gates, and exception handling that work in practice.

Required Skills & Experience
-15–20+ years in controllership or senior finance leadership roles.
-Public‑company or similarly high‑scrutiny operating‑company background.
-Deep experience with close, reporting, and SOX/ICFR.
-Regular interaction with internal and external auditors.
-CPA preferred.
-Travel up to 1 week per month if not local to NYC or the bay area
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience in technology or capital‑intensive industries.
-Exposure to finance transformation or systems implementations.
-Comfort working closely with product and engineering teams.
-Interest in shaping a product, not just running a function.
