An employer is seeking a Display Pipeline Software Engineer to support AR glasses and next generation hardware projects. This role focuses on software prototyping, demonstrations, and user study setups that help shape future products. You’ll work closely with imaging and perceptual teams in a highly collaborative environment.
Day to Day
• Build Unity based prototypes and demonstrations for AR/VR devices
• Write C# and GLSL/HLSL code to support imaging and display pipeline experiments
• Support live demos and user studies by setting up rooms, displays, lighting, and calibration environments
• Collaborate closely with imaging, perceptual, and hardware teams
• Rapidly prototype concepts that may inform future products (not all code ships to final devices)

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Unity development with strong C# skills, with emphasis on graphics/imaging pipeline implementation and performance optimization (not a UI-focused role)
• Strong GPU programming fundamentals (shader programming in HLSL/GLSL/Metal, compute shaders, GPU/CPU synchronization, profiling-driven optimization).
• Hands-on experience implementing real-time image processing pipelines on GPU (e.g., tone mapping, color transforms/3D LUTs, upscaling).
• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for prototyping and analysis
• Understanding of imaging or display pipelines (image processing, tone mapping, color, graphics, etc.)
• Comfortable working in a lab environment (setting up demos, displays, calibrations, user studies)
• Familiarity with C/C++ or interest in working closer to the software stack
• Background in AR/VR, displays, or consumer devices (AR/VR preferred; mobile, wearables, or displays also relevant)
