Job Description
We are hiring a Technical Product Manager with a strong data background to define and build a federated, semantic, multimodal clinical data layer. This platform will query across disparate clinical systems (EHR, labs, CTMS, eTMF, IRT, safety, etc.) and return unified, trusted views with full provenance.
This data layer will serve as the shared foundation for both agent reasoning and App Studio interfaces, ensuring that what agents “see” is consistent with what users see. The role is deeply hands‑on and build‑oriented, focused on defining data infrastructure, semantic structure, and pipeline foundations that enable scalable data products and future AI capabilities.
This is a true Technical PM role, ideal for an engineer or data scientist who transitioned into product, with real experience shipping data platforms—not just defining requirements.
What You’ll Work On
Designing and driving a federated data platform that queries across multiple clinical systems
Defining semantic structure, ontologies, and labeling to make data interpretable and trustworthy
Establishing data provenance, lineage, and metadata standards
Defining the data infrastructure required to support AI and agent reasoning (AI itself is a plus, not a prerequisite)
Building a single shared data foundation used by both agents and human-facing applications
Partnering directly with engineering to make architecture and delivery tradeoffs
The Problems This Role Solves
Clinical data is siloed and inaccessible, requiring manual reconciliation and slowing decisions
Data lacks provenance and semantic context, limiting trust and usability
Agents and applications lack a shared data foundation, causing inconsistency and mistrust
Pay ranges from $25-$30/hr

Required Skills & Experience
Data & Technical Foundation
Strong data background with hands-on experience in data systems and infrastructure
Proven experience driving data platform development from a product role
Deep understanding of data pipeline infrastructure (ETL/ELT, orchestration, modeling, warehouses/lakes)
Experience defining and shipping data products (platforms, datasets, semantic layers, APIs)
Semantic & Platform Expertise
Demonstrated experience with semantic structuring of data
Ability to define ontological / semantic layers and canonical data models
Experience establishing data provenance, lineage, and metadata standards
Comfort reasoning about federated data access and unified views across systems
Product Execution
Has been in the build: actively involved in architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and delivery
Can clearly articulate what actually went live, what didn’t, and why
Strong ability to translate complex data problems into executable product plans
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building foundational platforms (0→1)
Role Profile
Technical PM with real technical fluency
Background as an engineer → PM or data scientist → PM is strongly preferred
IC role (level TBD)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with federated, semantic, or multimodal data layers
Knowledge of ontologies, knowledge graphs, or semantic technologies
Exposure to clinical or life sciences data systems (EHR, CTMS, eTMF, IRT, safety)
AI / agent foundations (RAG, agent tooling, evaluation, observability) — plus, not required
Experience designing data platforms specifically to support AI or agent reasoning
