Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the accounting team within a large semiconductor manufacturing firm. The primary responsibility of this individual is to support the team with full-cycle Accounts Payable across multiple locations in various states.
On a daily basis, this individual will be responsible for entering and coding vendor invoices, ensuring accurate general ledger coding, and performing 2-way and 3-way PO matching against purchase orders and receipts. They will support weekly AP payment runs, helping to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time. A large portion of the role involves partnering with procurement and buyers to resolve pricing or PO discrepancies, as well as communicating directly with vendors to correct invoice issues.
Strong knowledge of sales and use tax accruals would be extremely beneficial, particularly in situations where vendors do not charge tax. There will be times that you'll need to account for these accruals and know how invoices should be treated based on use case (ex: R&D vs. operational expenses). The role supports AP activity across multiple facilities, so attention to detail and strong organization are critical.
The team is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, understands AP fundamentals, and requires minimal hand-holding after initial onboarding. This is a fast-paced, task-driven role ideal for someone comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally as needed.
