Job Description
An entertainment client based in Burbank is seeking a Sr. BA to join an enabling technology team within the studios group. This person will develop a productive partnership with business stakeholders at all levels and support the Manager, Product Owner to guide product development toward delivery of integrated, efficient, and intuitive business systems.
Position Summary: The Sr. BA must have experience designing, implementing and supporting applications and services, to support Motion Pictures Production. He or she will bring that experience to bear, as well as build a deep understanding of current and future technologies associated with the Studio businesses they support; they will be seen as an expert by Studio Technology and business partners alike. He or she will identify current and future business needs and determine how best to meet those needs. This includes working with other Studio application product and technology teams to gather requirements for new solutions, working with specialists to define intuitive solutions, understanding business processes and systems, and staying abreast of current trends in the marketplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Partner with business stakeholders and with Sr. Business Analysts/Product Teams for other Studio Applications to collect requirements and design dashboards, dossiers, and other visualizations within Microstrategy to meet business needs.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of reporting tools through user training, demos, and adjustments to reports/create simple visualizations as needed during working sessions with stakeholders.
• For more complex requests, requiring data aggregation or intricate calculations, partner with development team to create reporting solutions for business stakeholders.
• Partner with Sr. Business Analysts/Product Teams for other Studio applications to identify data sources and required elements for new data connections.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the development and maintenance of 3rd party vendor reporting software (PaaS)
• Define, groom and accept user stories in JIRA based on stakeholder requests for new and existing reports
• Administration duties to include regular user access audits and projects related to maintenance of cloud instance infrastructure, manage relationships with vendors
• In close partnership with the Manager and business stakeholders, develop the product vision and product roadmap
• Define and measure KPIs that support project business case(s) and recurring spend
• Communicate all successes, opportunities and risks in formal communications

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ yrs of experience performing business analysis within a large enterprise covering both business and information technology domains and working with many different personalities (ex: developers and studio/production)
• 3+ yrs of experience using Agile SCRUM methodology
• 3+ yrs of experience using MicroStrategy (MCE/cloud preferred) or another BI tool
• Exceptional Analytical thinking and Strong problem-solving skills
• BA/BS Required
• SQL database knowledge and must know querying languages
• Jira proficiency- defining, grooming and accepting user stories for new and existing reports
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of film production process preferred
• Financial dashboard experience preferred
• Experience building and understanding SQL queries a plus
• Certified Agile Product Owner a plus
Experience with other BI tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau a plus
