Job Description
Job Overview: Reporting to the Sr. Finance Manager, this is a hybrid position based from a small office in Sunnyvale CA, which is part of a global accounting team, and requires broad knowledge of accounting practices. Must have a roll-up-the sleeves, can-do attitude, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, including telework in the evenings to support your Asia colleagues. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month end close process, reconciling inventory, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). As part of a dynamic organization, responsibilities of the position include:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP. Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and support.
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory valuation, adjustments, and write-offs.
• Periodically audits employee expense reports and generates bi-monthly employee expense reimbursements.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Managing vendor payments and customer collections.
• Assist in setting up new US entities while supporting work from existing US entities until entity transition is complete.
• Responsible for maintaining Fixed Assets and associated depreciation schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Identifies, recommends updates, and maintains a documented system of accounting processes and procedures.
• Prepares regular and ad-hoc accounting reports for management.
• Interact with parent company headquartered in China which will require the use of the FONE reporting system (Chinese version).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience. • Chinese language skills, verbal and written, are highly desired. • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP system. • Hands-on experience with Concur expense system used for generating employee reimbursements. • Strong Excel skills • Detail oriented with a pro-active, collaborative approach.
