Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
• Keep the Build Stable: You’ll own the development and maintenance of the automation scripts that verify our latest features, ensuring that as the game grows, our test coverage keeps pace without slowing down the team.
• Partner with Studios: We don’t work in a vacuum; you’ll collaborate directly with dev teams to weave unit, functional, and performance tests into their daily pipelines so they get the feedback they need exactly when they need it.
• Master the Pipeline: When the CI/CD "build train" hits a snag, you’ll be the one diving into the logs to troubleshoot high-concurrency issues and get the pipeline back to a stable, reliable state.
• Kill Manual Overhead: You’ll help us move away from "hand-cranked" testing by automating the orchestration of our environments, drastically cutting down wait times and making our feedback loops as tight as possible.
• Experiment with AI: We’re actively looking for better ways to work. You’ll have the space to research and apply LLM-based tools to see what actually works for accelerating our workflows and making our automation smarter.
Core Competencies
• Behavioral
• Commitment to Ownership: Takes personal accountability for the quality and reliability of automation assets and their impact on the studio.
• Effective Communication: Demonstrates strong written and verbal skills when collaborating with diverse engineering and non-engineering teams.
• Technical
• Automation Execution: Competent in writing and managing various automated test types, such as integration, load, and end-to-end tests.
• Version Control Proficiency: Demonstrated competence in managing complex workflows within modern version control systems (e.g., Git or Perforce).
• Leadership
• Individual Contribution: Operates as a focused 100% individual contributor, delivering high-quality technical results with professional autonomy.
• Technical Initiative: Proactively identifies bottlenecks in the build/test cycle and proposes automated solutions to mitigate them.
• Strategic Influence & Business Acumen
• Workflow Optimization: Understands how automation coverage directly correlates to reduced post-launch cycles and improved studio health.
• Operational Awareness: Recognizes the importance of build/test cycle times in the global delivery of AAA titles.
