Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a cybersecurity client of ours in hiring a contract Accountant to support their global finance operations in a remote-first environment, with primary responsibility for month-end close activities while collaborating closely with teams in the US and UK. You play a key role in cash reconciliations, rewards accounting, accruals and operational workflows as the accounting function continues to scale. This role will be a Remote first role and required to work US EST hours in order to timely support our global team

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks in accordance with the close calendar.
• Own end-to-end accounting for areas such as rewards accounting (cash collected/held on behalf of customers and paid to security researchers as earned), cash, sales tax, accruals and/or other balance sheet accounts including subledger-to-GL reconciliations and detailed flux analysis
• Prepare and record journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation in compliance with GAAP.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Accounts Payable, Order to Cash and other teams to validate accrual assumptions, payout activity and cash movements
• Assist with operational accounting needs, including state registrations, compliance requirements, and regulatory surveys.
• Support external audits and internal controls compliance by maintaining clear documentation and strengthening internal controls over cash and rewards processes

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a global company
• Experience using an ERP system (e.g. Workday)
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Experience supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to partner effectively with global stakeholders
• Must be able to work US based EST hours
