Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer for our Marketing initiatives, you'll lead efforts to build and maintain data pipelines and models that power our marketing analytics and campaign management capabilities. You'll work at the intersection of marketing technology and data engineering, ensuring seamless data flow between Salesforce, Databricks, and various marketing platforms to enable data-driven campaign execution and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Data Management
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support marketing campaign execution in Salesforce
• Ensure data quality and timely availability of customer segments and campaign metrics
• Provide on-call support for critical marketing campaigns to ensure data accuracy and availability
Pipeline Development
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines integrating multiple data sources including Salesforce, Google Analytics, and advertising platforms
• Create and optimize ETL processes in Databricks for marketing data processing and analysis
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure pipeline reliability
Analytics Support
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to develop and maintain Tableau reporting infrastructure
• Create and maintain data models that support marketing analytics and campaign reporting
• Design and implement tracking mechanisms for campaign conversion and audience targeting
Platform Integration
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other marketing technology platforms
• Ensure efficient data synchronization between marketing systems and data warehouse
• Build automated data quality validation processes across integrated platforms
Collaboration & Documentation
• Partner with marketing teams to understand campaign requirements and data needs
• Work closely with Data Analysts to optimize reporting solutions
• Document data flows, models, and pipeline architectures

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years with Salesforce data models and APIs or relevant experience
• 5+ years coding in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation
• Proficiency in building and maintaining Databricks pipelines
• Strong understanding of marketing analytics and campaign management
• Experience working with marketing technologies and Google Analytics
• Strong understanding of data quality management and validation processes
• Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Tableau

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Salesforce data model familiarity (Campaigns/Leads/Contacts, etc.)
• API-based extraction (REST/Bulk), integration patterns
• Comfortable working with imperfect/nonstandard Salesforce implementations
• Experience with Google Analytics data (sessions, events, conversions) and alignment to reporting
• Experience creating curated datasets/semantic layers for BI consumption
• Tableau familiarity (supporting data sources, extracts, performance considerations)
• Domo experience (or similar marketing analytics tools) and platform migration experience
• AWS experience (preferred), but Azure/GCP acceptable if cloud-agnostic and strong
• Healthcare/regulated environment experience
