Job Description
The Finance Executive Director will be a strategic thought-partner, is hands-on, and will play a critical role in partnering with CFO in strategic decision making and operations of the agency. This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the agency, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the agency’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The Finance Executive Director supervises the finance staff, establishes/updates the accounting and finance policies and procedures, establishes and maintains budgets, credit, and cash flow. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of finance and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, management and financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation. The Finance Executive Director also produces the financials of the agency and presents the financials to the Executive Team; keeping them informed of any deviations from the approved budget. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the agency.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required
- 8+ years of overall professional experience; ideally - 6+ years of broad financial and operations management experience
- Solid experience in forecasting and budget development and analysis; coordinating audit activities and managing reporting; accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Non-profit experience a plus
- CPA or MBA preferred
