Job Description

Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced Group Vice President of Sales to bring senior‑level leadership, structure, and strategic alignment to its North American sales organization. This role is being added to better organize and optimize sales channels, elevate go‑to‑market strategy, and create a more cohesive growth vision aligned with shareholders and the Board.

The organization is intentionally hiring a more experienced sales leader with deep domain expertise, particularly in transformers and magnetics, to operate at both the strategic and execution levels. The Group VP of Sales will partner closely with company presidents, engineering leadership, and key customers to drive sustainable growth across existing and future product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy
• Own and lead the North American sales organization, with full accountability for structure, execution, and performance
• Develop and execute a clear go‑to‑market strategy across multiple product lines, including relays and magnetics
• Partner with two company presidents to align sales strategy with business objectives and financial targets
• Present a cohesive sales and growth vision to executive leadership and the Board
• Establish milestones, accountability, and follow‑through across the sales organization
Go‑to‑Market & Product Strategy
• Define and refine GTM strategies by market segment, product, and channel
• Lead the development of a stronger New Product Introduction (NPI) process (currently a known gap)
• Assess and communicate TAM, demand drivers, and growth opportunities across product lines
• Work closely with engineering to:
○ Identify customer‑driven product opportunities
○ Shape future product roadmaps
○ Repurpose or reposition existing products for new markets
• Engage directly with key customers to understand future innovation needs and long‑term demand
Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead 3 direct reports and ~24 indirect team members across sales and engineering‑aligned functions
• Create clarity around roles, responsibilities, and expectations
• Build credibility with technical teams; engineering currently reports into this role due to its customer‑ and market‑driven focus
• Foster collaboration across sales, engineering, operations, and manufacturing
• Drive a culture of accountability, data‑driven decision‑making, and continuous improvement
Revenue Ownership & Performance
• Accountable for revenue growth with a minimum target of ~5% YoY growth
• Balance performance across:
○ Existing customer expansion
○ New customer acquisition
○ Incremental and new product revenue
• Monitor and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
• Ensure confidence and predictability in revenue reporting
