Job Description

Insight Global's Consulting division partners with a large local utility company, and currently their Substation Electric Engineering organization is planning to scale 250–350+ hires in 2026, this role is essential to maintaining structure, visibility, and performance across all recruiting and onboarding workflows.
The Recruiting / Resource Manager will serve as the operational anchor for our clients Substation Engineering’s rapidly scaling team. This individual will ensure hiring velocity, compliance, communication, and reporting. You will own candidate tracking, hiring dashboards, SAP reporting, interview coordination, onboarding timelines, and resource lifecycle visibility to maintain seamless execution across a fast‑moving, high‑volume staffing initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Pipeline & Recruiting Operations
Maintain and optimize high‑volume tracking systems for 250–350 annual hires, adapting existing client structures to meet expanded volume.
Monitor funnel health, hiring timelines, and forecasted demand in collaboration with client leadership.
Ensure candidates are fully vetted and aligned to technical requirements, following client recruiting and governance standards.
Interview, Onboarding & Resource Lifecycle Coordination
Manage all interview scheduling, logistics, documentation, and communication between recruiting teams, leadership, and PG&E.
Track offer status, onboarding progression, background checks, start dates, and in‑field reporting timelines (Sacramento, Fresno, OGO).
Coordinate with PMs and Project Leads to ensure smooth deployment into technical teams.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Management
Run SAP queries to pull application status, hiring metrics, workforce data, and operational updates.
Own daily/weekly dashboards covering candidate progress, hiring velocity, at‑risk candidates, and resource forecasting.
Provide precise, transparent reporting that aligns with AES’s process rigor and governance expectations.
Leadership & Executive Alignment
Executive Reporting
Report directly to Senior Director–level leadership, providing timely updates, risk assessments, and strategic workforce insights.
Deliver polished, executive‑ready reporting packages summarizing hiring trends, pipeline health, and operational performance.
Support Senior Directors in planning and decision‑making by supplying accurate workforce projections and data‑backed recommendations.
Cross‑Functional Leadership Engagement
Collaborate regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, PMs, and Client Stakeholders.
Serve as a centralized point of communication, ensuring alignment across technical teams, leadership, and recruiting functions.
Drive accountability across stakeholders by surfacing bottlenecks, recommending solutions, and ensuring agreed‑upon timelines are met.
Participate in leadership‑level conversations regarding capacity planning, workforce readiness, onboarding structure, and scaling needs.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical & Operational Skills
Strong experience with SAP or similar enterprise tracking/reporting platforms.
High proficiency in data analysis, dashboard creation, and operational reporting.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage hundreds of candidates simultaneously.
Leadership Communication & Executive Presence
Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently with Senior Directors, Directors, and senior‑level client stakeholders.
Skilled at translating complex recruiting data into concise, actionable insights for leadership audiences.

Ability to collaborate effectively with senior‑level technical and operational leaders.

Demonstrated success working within structured governance frameworks and driving accountability.
