Job Description

VP Business Operations – TSS

We’re seeking a VP Business Operations for a fast-growing, multi-state security operation supporting cruise, safeguarding, cargo, petrochem and 24/7 port facilities across the U.S.

Owning end-to-end performance of the Security business: operations, people, compliance, and startup execution across multiple ports and facilities.

Operational Scope

• Oversight of security operations across 8+ ports / regions (including Florida, Texas, California, Washington State, and New Jersey)
• Leadership of a field organization consisting of:
o Regional Manager
o Senior Operations Managers
o Operations Managers
o Eight hundred part-time and full-time hourly team members
• Mixed labor environment: union and non-union
• Combination of seasonal and year-round cruise operations and year-round 24/7 security sites
• One million annual labor hours across all sites, with expansion underway
• Multiple active startups and expansion projects

The role directly manages Operations leadership as well as a Director focused on Strategic Client Operations (largest cruise client), ensuring tight alignment between client delivery and operational execution.

Core Responsibilities

• Full ownership of operational performance across all locations
• Budget ownership, forecasting, monthly actuals-to-budget review, and margin management
• Workforce execution: recruiting, onboarding, training, staffing readiness
• Labor discipline, scheduling standards, overtime control
• HR consistency and manager accountability
• Compliance, safety, and operational readiness
• Lead new site launches and expansion initiatives
• Partner closely with Strategic Client leadership on service delivery and growth

Required Skills & Experience

• Prior Senior Director level or VP Operations experience in labor-intensive services (security, logistics, facilities, transportation, field services, etc.)
• Proven leadership of multi-site operations with large hourly workforces
• Proven ability to design and implement operational processes, standards, and systems that scale across multiple locations
• Comfortable operating in union and non-union environments
• Strong people leadership and field presence
• Track record of scaling operations and launching new locations
• Decisive, practical, execution-oriented leadership style
