Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to build, enhance, and support backend integrations and system workflows. The ideal candidate has written code in SQL (Oracle preferred), Python (intermediate+), Java (intermediate+), and Unix/Linux shell scripting (medium/advanced to advanced), and has experience building software that connects to databases, calls web services, and performs debugging/analysis with clear reporting. You’ll own a “product” or “system” area end-to-end—driving reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Design, develop, and maintain backend programs and scripts that run on Unix/Linux (batch jobs, schedulers, automation, operational tooling).
Write and maintain SQL to support application features and operational needs (queries, transactions, stored procedures/scripts as needed).
Build and consume web service calls (REST/SOAP where applicable), including authentication, retries, and error handling.
Develop and enhance services and utilities using Python and Java, focusing on readable, supportable, production-quality code.
Perform debugging and root-cause analysis across logs, code, and data; produce clear analysis and reporting for stakeholders.
Improve system reliability: monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (product, ops, QA, upstream/downstream teams) to deliver changes safely.
Manage or co-manage a product/system lifecycle: prioritizing work, coordinating releases, and ensuring stable operations.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters.
