Job Description

As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting new product development within the Client's Networking lab.
• Primarily responsible for designing, constructing, reworking, and testing prototype equipment for electrical systems and components, consistent with engineering and other applicable specifications.
• Participate with engineering and other applicable specifications.
• The ability to rework and repair SMT PCA’s using Metcal and Air pencil tools.
• Setup, run and monitor environment and regulatory system tests.
• Help write basic test plans.
• Develop and improve technician processes and techniques.
Work with both co-located and remote teams.

Required Skills & Experience

· Technical diploma or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical Hardware Technician or similar role, working with either prototype equipment, or equipment that is already on the market
· Hands-on technician laboratory work and experience with designing, constructing, reworking, repairing, and testing equipment for electrical systems and components
· Proficiency with reading and interpret schematics, printouts and specifications for hardware and systems.
Working knowledge of hardware test equipment, including multimeter, oscilloscope, pattern generator, and logic analyzer.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Ability to work with networking equipment highly desirable.
· Background in robotics or IT hardware equipment
Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing is highly desirable.
