Our client is a leading global supplier of electronic components serving the urgent needs of engineers through a family of trusted brands. They offer a broad portfolio of products providing solutions for power distribution, surge protection, RF, cables, transceivers, and connectors. They serve varoius markets including telecom, commercial, industrial, military ,energy, MSO, and data centers.

The Strategic Account Manager will possess extensive experience in account development, an understanding of the Data Center and Telecommunications market, industry trends, and experience working with Tier 1 accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales, working with engineers, product line managers, and program managers. The candidate must have experience working with various influencers to support cold calling for business development. All potential candidates must have a strong network of contacts with access to key decision-makers and influencers. The candidate should have strong account development experience and a proven track record of profitable growth.

This role is remote but requires 50-75% travel to customer sites, trade shows, etc.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Meet or exceed established quotas for the assigned brand/market.
· Support trade shows, be involved in key organizations/groups, and have a strong background in social selling (LinkedIn)
· Make outbound sales calls on sales leads and business development.
· Provide primary interface with customers via video, phone, email, and live web chat.
· Qualify opportunities and account potential with discovery questions.
· Reports - Provide weekly sales reports, forecast, pre/post travel reports, and monthly pipeline funnel.
· Complete daily sales activities from prospecting to customer follow-up
· Build a strong sales funnel with new targets (prospecting), growth accounts (account development), and account management of existing customers to push year-over-year growth.
· Process RFQs, generate quotes, and follow up to closure.
· Perform customer discovery and recommend appropriate associated products, including other brand solutions.
· Build a solution for customers with complex Custom/Special requests.
· Resolve customer issues, questions, and complaints in a professional and collaborative manner.
· Maintain a sales funnel to convert prospects into sales.

This role pays between $120-145K + commissions

Required Skills & Experience

· Candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and business acumen with a customer-centric focus and urgency to meet strategic objectives.
· The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of strategic sales experience, technical sales background, extensive phone contact, account development, and a proven track record in profitable growth.
· Technical sales to meet customer needs, experience with subsystems and integrated solutions, In-depth knowledge of product lines and processes, market trends, and the marketplace.
· Professional communication skills, written and spoken English, including correct usage of grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate professional messaging and tone.
· The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· General computer skills, including a solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams,
· Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment.
· Experience with a CRM system preferred.
-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
