Job Description
The Director of Engineering will lead a team of software engineers delivering high‑quality web and mobile applications. This leader will oversee execution across one Agile team, drive technical delivery, partner closely with Product, and ensure scalable, consistent engineering practices in an Azure-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of onshore/offshore application engineers; diagnose bottlenecks and remove delivery obstacles.
• Oversee end‑to‑end software delivery across web and mobile applications built with Python, Django, React, and Azure services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define requirements, shape product direction, and provide high‑level engineering estimates.
• Ensure strong Agile execution, engineering best practices, and high-quality release cycles.
• Maintain and enforce technical documentation standards and contribute to continuous improvement practices.
• Identify and resolve complex development challenges across backend, frontend, and cloud components.
Stay current with emerging technologies and drive modern engineering approaches across the team.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical background as an application engineer; progressed from hands‑on engineering into leadership.
5+ years of managing engineering teams at a Senior Manager or Director level.
Experience leading offshore engineering resources and cross-functional Agile teams.
Strong expertise in application development.
Demonstrated ability to lead software delivery in Python/Django and modern frontend tech in React
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally across engineering and product.
Cloud experience with Azure.
