Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to join a AAA gaming company in a full-time basis on the west coast Canada or USA near an office location. This role is responsible for managing and scaling the Perforce Helix Core environment that supports teams across the company, including maintaining commit and edge servers, resolving sync and replication issues, tuning Linux servers across multiple environments, and supporting a custom .NET application that oversees the Perforce infrastructure. The engineer will build and maintain automation using Ansible and existing .NET tools, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, develop internal tooling, create monitoring and observability dashboards, troubleshoot issues reflected through logs and telemetry, and provide responsive support to internal development teams and external partners as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong Linux administration experience, including tuning, troubleshooting, mounting, and scripting.
• Hands-on DevOps automation skills with tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with client-server source control systems, ideally Perforce but ClearCase or similar accepted.
• Ability to analyze logs and resolve infrastructure-level issues in scaled environments.
• Experience with .NET full stack development, including C#, ASP.NET, and basic front-end technologies.
• Background working with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana or KQL.
• Ability to work PST hours in a hybrid environment and support a large internal user base.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Direct experience administering Perforce Helix Core in a large-scale environment.
• Background supporting source control systems for teams handling very large binary assets such as gaming, VFX, or media.
• Experience as a Perforce solution administrator with streams, replication, and server topologies.
• Exposure to Terraform, cloud platforms, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience with enterprise tools such as ClearCase or other large-scale source control systems.
