Job Description
A client is looking for a Linux Engineer to sit remotely within LATAM. They will be the Linux expert responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting alerts, maintenance, configurations and all escalations related to Linux Operating Systems. They will develop Ansible automation for production environment and develop Ansible playbook to do Linux security audits. They will develop and implement Linux post configuration Ansible roles and develop Redhat/CentOS Linux for VMWare ESX platform. They will integrate Linux based apps with Microsoft AD for single sign on. Experience with Cisco fiber interconnects and switch configurations for stability and redundancy.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience as a system engineer with hands on experience in designing, building and maintaining Linux operating systems
- Expert with Linux, including Redhat and CentOS
- Rocky Linux experience
- Experience setting up a patching system (Redhat Satellite or Yum Repo)
- Experience writing / developing Ansible for automation (chef and puppet if no ansible)
- Familiar with Oracle operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualized environment, VMware ESX, VCenter
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, SMTP, NTP, SMNP, SIFS, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, NAS, SSH, SAN, NAS Storage, F5 load balancers etc.
- Certificate / PKI experience
- HP/Dell Physical hardware, ILOM & idrac.
- Switch configuration – knowledge of vlans, vlan tagging.
- Apache, Tomcat, Ngnix, Jira, Confluence, Web services.
- Experience with backup technologies.
- Azure blob storage.
- Oracle RAC/ODA, support pre-req installs and troubleshooting.
