Job Description
Insight Global is assisting a longstanding Cyber Security client of ours in identifying a General Accountant for a remote 6 month contract position to sit out of India.
- Prepare, post, and review journal entries with proper supporting documentation
- Maintain and update the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including AR, AP, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany accounts
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices
- Prepare payment runs, ensure proper approvals, and maintain vendor statements
- Generate customer invoices and ensure timely billing
- Monitor incoming payments, apply receipts, and maintain accurate AR aging reports

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of general accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and reconciliation best practices
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with U.S.-based team members during EST hours
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Workday Accounting experience is a strong plus!
