Job Description

The Security Test Lead oversees all testing activities across system, integration, and user acceptance cycles, providing direction to technical teams, analysts, and business partners to ensure testing milestones are achieved. They develop comprehensive test plans aligned with business requirements and established test strategies, and manage all test documentation, execution progress, and defect tracking within JIRA. This role leads defect triage, facilitates cross‑functional discussions, and coordinates with development teams, testers, and business leads to prioritize and resolve issues. The Test Lead prepares clear daily status updates for executive stakeholders and communicates effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences. They also drive end‑to‑end testing of UCPath PeopleSoft HCM authentication changes, validating critical workflows such as Direct Deposit, Contact Details, and employee access, while ensuring exception handling, risk‑based authentication requirements, and operational readiness are thoroughly tested. Additionally, they translate business, privacy, labor, and operational needs into functional HCM requirements, support implementation of approved system changes, and partner closely with testing and business teams throughout extended test cycles to ensure secure, performant delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in QA.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and test planning.
Hands‑on experience using JIRA for test management and defect tracking.
Experience with test automation.
Deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, including areas such as Direct Deposit, Contact Details, Security Questions, onboarding workflows, and how authentication changes affect payroll, benefits, and employee access.
Ability to design operational support models, escalation paths, training needs, and staffing plans tied to authentication outcomes.
Strong facilitation skills and ability to drive cross‑functional alignment across UCPath, ITS, vendors, COEs, and campus partners.
End‑to‑end PeopleSoft HCM/UCPath testing experience, especially related to identity and authentication.
Excellent verbal and written communication with proactive stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM modules such as WFA, Payroll, Benefits, Commitment Accounting.
Experience with Salesforce.
Background as a business analyst, functional analyst, or systems analyst.
Experience working with Legal, Privacy, Labor Relations, and Academic Personnel teams to convert policy into system requirements and consent language.
Ability to anticipate employee impact, reduce friction, and ensure access continuity during authentication or security changes.
