Job Description
This role supports the Item File / Item Catalog engineering group—responsible for the systems that manage all item-related data across Sam’s Club, including item setup, enrichment, attributes, pricing data, and catalog publication for in-club and e‑commerce channels. The team is deeply integrated with Unity, part of the Walmart Commerce Platform (WCP), and collaborates across Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and E‑commerce engineering squads.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10+ years of hands-on backend Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed architecture.
• Experience with Kafka / event streaming, event-driven systems, or message queues.
Cloud engineering skills with GCP or Azure.
• Experience working with large-scale data systems, item data management, or catalog platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data flows and integrations across multiple systems.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally across Merch, Pricing, E‑comm, and data engineering.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with AI for increasing productivity in their daily work
