Job Description

We are seeking one System Administrator / Cloud Operations Engineer to support daily cloud and virtualization operations in a highly operational, ticket‑driven environment. This role supports Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as the primary cloud platform and requires strong VMware and Hyper‑V experience in a hybrid environment.
This is a hands‑on individual contributor role with two equally critical expectations:

Execute operational work efficiently
Document everything clearly and thoroughly so work can be repeated, delegated, and automated over time

Environment & Context

Primary cloud: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Terraform maturity: Very early / not mature

Candidate will build Terraform automation from scratch
Act as a Terraform and automation champion


Operational mix:

75% manual execution today
25% automation (goal is to increase with Terraform + PowerShell)


Ticket volume: ~10 tickets per week
Hybrid environment:

Cloud + on‑prem virtualization (VMware & Hyper‑V)




Core Responsibilities

Execute cloud and virtualization tickets end‑to‑end
Provision, configure, and maintain OCI cloud instances
Administer VMware and Hyper‑V environments
Develop Terraform automation for infrastructure provisioning
Build PowerShell scripts to reduce manual workload
Patch systems and manage keys and credentials
Support integrations between internal resources and external AMCS tenants
Create clear, repeatable documentation for all work performed

Example Ticket Scenarios

Spin up an OCI instance to support AMCS resources
Connect that instance to an external AMCS tenant
Patch and rotate access keys
Validate cross‑tenant connectivity
Deploy API packages to tablets/end devices
Document the full process with screenshots and validation steps
Identify repeat work and convert it to Terraform + PowerShell automation


Technical Requirements

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Terraform (new development)
PowerShell (primary scripting language)
VMware and Hyper‑V administration
Cloud and server patch management
API deployment workflows
Microsoft 365 administration (Intune preferred)
Technical documentation, runbook, and job aid creation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Familiarity with Ivanti or Salesforce ticketing system
- Citrix experience
- Ivanti or Salesforce ticketing systems
