Job Summary
This Global Wallet Solution data team is seeking a highly motivated business analyst based in San Jose to bridge business needs and data solutions across functional stakeholders. This role will fully work on global PayPal datasets and serve for business needs from various stakeholders.
As a Business Analyst you will analyse complex FinTech datasets, diagnose data quality issues, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and deliver actionable BI dashboards and reports. You will work closely with business teams, operations, product and engineering teams to improve data reliability and enable insight-driven decisions.
Your day to day work will include:
· Analyze complex FinTech datasets to provide insights.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs.
· Deliver actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
· Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analysis processes.
· Present findings to business stakeholder and leadership.
· Drive continuous improvement in data analysis practices.

Required Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Math/Statistics or equivalent
· 2+ years of experience in data / business analyst or related roles.
· Expertise in SQL and experience working with large datasets
· Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
· Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
· Familiar with payment and fintech industry
· Innovative, creative and good learning capability, willingness to take initiatives and go beyond
· Strong collaboration skillsets
· Experience with big data & cloud technologies (e.g. hadoop, Spark, Hive, Bigquery)
· Experience with programming languages like Python or JAVA
