Job Description

Insight Globals local government client is seeking to hire a Cyber Security Architect. This person will be involved in every aspect of cyber security including incident response, malware analysis, creating secure cloud policy, and leading security awareness trainings. The security resource will need to be well versed in controls systems and understand how they impact the organization. Facilitating and tracking training completion on a quarterly basis to keep the organization sharp against cyber-attacks. This person will also help develop, update, and maintain a plan and response to a large-scale incident. In collaboration with the CISO, this resource will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and mitigate cybersecurity risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and respond to incidents effectively.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy.
• Lead the design and execution of security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas of improvement.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, and other departments to align security initiatives.
• Manage security awareness training programs for employees.
• Oversee incident response planning and investigation of security breaches.
• Report on security metrics and status to executive leadership and the board.

pay range: $55-60/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
Strong experience with control systems including SCADA and ICS
Knowledge of NIST 800-82 framework and NERC CIP regulations or background in cyber security
IT Networking background or Incident response on OT network
Experience operating secure ICS equipment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CISSP, CISM or CISA – highly recommended
Experience in the water or wastewater industry
Experience designing cloud security
