Job Description
As the Finance IT Business Partner/BRM, you will be responsible for partnering closely with Finance stakeholders and other parts of the business. You will be responsible for understanding what their goals and what they are trying to accomplish, challenges they're facing, changes they want to make within financial reporting, etc. and you will bring solutions/recommendations to the table and partner closely with the Technical Admins to translate these configs and business problems into Workday solutions. This team is looking for someone who is well-versed in all Workday Finance modules such as Workday Financial Management modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable and has a Solution Architecture background. This is a post implementation and maintenance-type of role.
Responsibilities:
-Strategic Planning & Alignment: Act as a strategic partner to the finance department, understanding their business objectives and translating them into technical requirements for the Workday FIN and Adaptive team. Provide insights into how to leverage the Workday and Adaptive platforms to drive new financial initiatives and optimize business processes.
-Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the finance team on all matters related to the Workday FIN and Adaptive systems. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including supporting key financial activities such as month-end and year-end close.
-Value Management: Focus on ensuring the company receives the most value from its Workday investment by identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and new module adoption.
-Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate clear and effective communication between the finance teams and the Workday/Adaptive support/development teams. Ensure that business needs are accurately communicated and that technical solutions are well-understood by all parties.
-Ticket & Operations Management: Manage and review break-fix tickets submitted via our service desk platform (Fresh Service) in partnership with the Workday FIN application administrators, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
-Sprint Activities: Participate in relevant sprint planning and review meetings to stay informed of development progress, provide business context, and ensure alignment with finance priorities.

Required Skills & Experience
-Must be able to work EST/CST time zone
-Must be OK with working anywhere from 20-40 hours/week
-6+ years of experience in business relationship management, IT business partner, or solution architecture.
-Must have a deep understanding of all Workday Financial Management modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Management, etc.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
-Must be a strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable plans.
