Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer who serves as a critical link between clients, stakeholders, and technical teams, gathering business objectives, data requirements, quality standards, and project-specific details. This role is responsible for translating complex technical information into clear, consistent, and accessible documentation tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences. The writer ensures all deliverables align with project goals and stakeholder expectations, while also supporting outreach efforts through appropriate media channels to enhance communication and engagement.


Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI dashboards, including:
 Data source descriptions
 Data model explanations
 Report usage guides
 Dashboard navigation and interpretation instructions
• Simplify and communicate complex technical concepts and data visualizations in a clear, engaging manner tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with BI developers, data engineers, and business analysts to gather requirements and gain a deep understanding of dashboard functionality.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, quick reference guides, FAQs, and training materials to support end users.
• Ensure consistency and quality by aligning documentation with organizational standards and maintaining version control.
• Conduct peer reviews and usability testing to validate the clarity and effectiveness of documentation.
• Manage and maintain a centralized documentation repository, ensuring content remains current with dashboard updates and iterations.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews to gather insights and requirements.
• Elicit and define data needs through structured conversations and analysis.
• Ask strategic, project-aligned questions to uncover key information and guide development.
• Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and understanding.
• Translate large-scale concepts into digestible formats tailored to varied audiences.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:
• Experience as a technical writer, preferably in a data analytics or BI environment. Figma & Lucid Charts.
• Strong understanding of Power BI, data visualization principles, and dashboard design.
• Experience documenting data models, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as SharePoint.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with SQL, DAX, or Power Query.
• Background in data governance or data quality initiatives.
• Experience creating video tutorials or interactive documentation.
