Job Description
Our client is seeking an IP Secretary to join their team! In this role, the IP Secretary will provide direct support to one attorney, managing all aspects of intellectual property cases from start to finish. Responsibilities include preparing and filing documents with the USPTO, drafting and proofreading legal correspondence, and maintaining accurate case files. The secretary will also handle billing, intake forms, and matter closure, ensuring all timelines are met. The secretary will also use systems like iManage or shared folders for case management and must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. This is a permanent position sitting in Palo Alto, CA. The base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000.

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in Intellectual Property law: cradle-to-grave case handling
○ USPTO filings, document drafting, proofreading
○ Intake forms, billing, case management, closing matters
• Experience handling end-to-end docketing for USPTO filings and legal matters
• Experience with case management systems (iManage or shared folders)
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong verbal communication
