Job Description
A large medical device company in Irvine, CA is looking for an Algorithm Scientist to join their team that is focused on advancing cardiac care through cutting-edge data science and machine learning. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, and data analysis, who is passionate about developing algorithms that drive innovation in medical technology.
Key Responsibilities
Algorithm Development: Translate complex algorithms and machine learning solutions into efficient, scalable prototype programs for electrophysiological data analysis.
Data Modeling: Apply statistical models such as regression analysis to qualify, stratify, and analyze multidimensional datasets.
Programming: Develop and optimize code using Python, C++, and MATLAB for algorithmic and data processing tasks.
ML Integration: Utilize machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV to build and refine models tailored to electrophysiological applications.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including biomedical engineers, clinicians, and software developers to integrate algorithms into product pipelines.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of algorithm development processes and present findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in algorithm development and data analysis in a scientific or engineering context
Proficiency in any coding language
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks
Bachelor's Degree
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments or medical device development.
Experience in biomedical signal processing or electrophysiology data.
