Job Description

We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior Development Engineer to support our Smart Operations team in scaling up production capabilities and driving digital transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys process optimization, and is passionate about bridging physical operations with digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support process mapping efforts across NPI teams, including conducting interviews with technicians and cross-functional stakeholders to document current workflows using tools like Miro and flowcharts.
• Translate undocumented tribal knowledge into structured workstreams and standardized documentation to support scale-up initiatives.
• Collaborate on smart operations projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and readiness for growth.
• Assist in the design of production workbenches and fixtures, leveraging SolidWorks or similar CAD tools to create basic-level engineering drawings.
• Support the deployment of IIOT platform solutions, including hands-on device connectivity and development of work instructions (no coding required, but familiarity with hardware/software integration is a plus).
• Contribute to the digital transformation of operations by helping implement next-gen digital platforms and automation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering within an enterprise-level environment.
• Strong experience in process flow mapping and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in CAD design (SolidWorks preferred).
• Familiarity with IIOT devices, automation equipment, and industrial connectivity.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
• 1–2 years of industrial or manufacturing operations experience.
• Exposure to production supervision or front-line leadership roles.
• Background in basic mechanical design, such as furniture or fixture design.
• Understanding of automation fundamentals from academic or hands-on training.
