Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Software Process Engineer to drive the implementation and governance of software development processes for a large-scale satellite program based out of El Segundo, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team at the forefront of satellite innovation, where your contributions will directly impact mission-critical systems in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment. This role involves applying Boeings established software documentation standards, authoring supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance across the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on with documentation and has experience with C++, Java, and Pythonparticularly in testing environments.

Required Skills & Experience

Active Secret clearance or higher
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
10 or more years of professional experience in software development
Bachelors degree
Leadership experience as a mentor, team lead, or manager
Aerospace, Weapon Systems industry experience
Experience leading software development lifecycle tasks to completion
Exposure to modern software development methodologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
Active Top Secret clearance
Experience running performance development reviews (PDRs)
Experience with satellites, launch systems, orbiters and/or ground control systems.
Understanding of DoDAF or TOGAF or similar
Exposure to scripting languages Python, JavaScript, or similar
Strong GitLab experience
Experience upholding military software standards
Understanding of Risk Management Frameworks (RMF).
Understanding of Technical Operating Report (TOR) standards.
