Job Description

Insight Global Evergreen is working with an AI/Robotics technology leader. We are looking for a Project Manager who will lead a data annotation team, establish operation processes, and lay an overall foundation for scaling the project. This person should also have a technical background and be capable of providing software engineering support where needed, with the ability to oversee the development and maintenance of the team’s backend pipelines and applications. This is an ongoing research and development program and the role has an estimated duration of 6-12 months with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for core stakeholders and own the end-to-end management of data annotation operations, intaking stakeholder requests, tracking and presenting deliverables, and escalating issues from the operations (after mitigations)
• Support project contracts and budget reconciliation, independently addressing client questions regarding the overall financial stability of the project and escalating to the Insight Global Program manager as needed
• Track project budgets including labor and expenses and generate reports and forecasts of spending
• Create and maintain process documentation for the overarching project (charter, Gantt, RACI, etc.)
• Translate client data annotation requests into detailed, actionable procedures and parameters; develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents; design collection matrices (CMs) to reflect target data variable distributions; and generate and manage tasks within the client’s task
• Create and maintain various tracking spreadsheets and other documents to reflect daily progress toward project goals and KPIs
• Perform quality assurance reviews of team data annotations, reviewing a sample of each team member’s submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Lead the end-to-end talent acquisition process for the project team, including interviewing and hiring qualified candidates, providing the ongoing management, coaching, and development necessary to ensure high team performance
• Hold Weekly Updates and Quarterly Business Reviews with project stakeholders on deliverables and forecasting of resources needs
• Find opportunities for project growth and scalability while in communication with core stakeholders, supporting engineers, and research scientists
• Supporting development of data annotation platform, processing API calls
• Complete other duties as needed from the Insight Global / Program Manager

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in STEM or Business
• 5-7 years managing teams or complex projects, preferably in a technical industry
• 2-3 years in basic software development and understanding of programming languages C++, Python, JS,
• Prior software engineering experience support troubleshooting/development of phone based applications, preferably annotation
• Intermediary experience with Excel/Google Sheets
• Intermediary experience with project management techniques/software
• Seasoned public speaking skills with the ability to present operations nuances to multiple stakeholders
• Mature and confident interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to anyone
• High-level of verbal and written communication skills using email, instant messaging, and video conferencing (similar to Zoom or Slack)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to independently seek answers
• Understanding of deadlines and milestones with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and working on Android/iOS and MacOS

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Professional certificate in project management (PMP, CAPM)
• Degree from an accredited college or university in software engineering, computer science, or other related fields
